Okybent is a corroborant produced by SKL, based of Bentonite in powder, with fungistatic action, usable in Biological Agriculture on all crops. Check price, doses, label and safety data sheet.

Description

Okybent is made of Bentonite (montmorillonite) a mineral clay classified as a phyllosilicate smectite.

In the imbibition process, this clay from a dry material becomes a gel, with a volume gained of even 16 times; so the primary property of Okybent is to absorb water and swell just like a sponge.

Benefits:

  • It absorbs large quantities of water: in agriculture, the hydro-retentive power of Bentonite drastically reduces the problems deriving from an excess of humidity, such as infections by Botrytis cinerea on grapevine, strawberry, vegetables, or Rot acid on grapevine, caused by fungal pathogens that prefer a high humid level.

  • It heals micro-cracks and micro-lesions present on fruits, where fungal infections would otherwise easily start.

  • It absorbs metal ions, pesticides, nitrosamines, mycotoxins, other toxic substances present on leaves and fruits.

Dosage

It is necessary to use Okybent as a preventive treatment, especially on vineyards, since the first vegetative stages. In this way, Okybent is ready to play its action in tissues that in future will be difficult to reach.
One or more applications of Okybent are suggested in post-flowering; for grapevine is recommended an effectivetreatment in pre-closure bunches.

Pulverised treatments
Use 25 - 75 kg/ha of Okybent for each treatment, preferring dry and sunny days.
Wet or rainy days reduce the effectiveness of treatments.

On grapevine we recommend to combine Okybent with powder sulphuration.
