Description

This page is informative only. The product in not on sale.

Predator of aleurodidi, belonging to the order of the Rincoti, very common in the areas and in the warmer seasons, typical of the Mediterranean. It is used on horticultural crops in greenhouses and in open fields such as tomatoes, peppers, aubergines.

Controlled adversities:

  • Trialeurodes vaporariorum
  • Bemisia tabaci
  • Tuta absoluta (eggs)

It is a small Miride (3-4 mm) of greenish or yellowish-green in the adult stage, juvenile forms have a lighter color. It is a frequent insect in the Mediterranean areas, where it performs virtually continuous cycles without ever wintering (this happens in the extreme southern Italian regions such as Sicily or in the greenhouse).

Its reproductive cycle is from 30 to 40 days. It is a species with both a phytophagous food regime, this harmful action becomes significant only in the presence of abundant populations and absence of prey, which zoophagus (prey, in fact, with its typical stiletto mouthparts, in addition to aleurodidi, also aphids, tetranichus mites and other small insects). It plays a decisive role in the biological control programs for tomato and aubergine.

This predator can perform a positive function only in the most at-risk situations where whitefly infestations are serious and therefore there is always presence of prey, if this were not this miride, both adults and young, could feed on lymph causing symptoms such as rings brunettes on stalks and petioles, flower buds, until discoloration and deformation of the fruits.

Composition

Nesidiocoris tenuis controlla:

  • Trialeurodes vaporariorum
  • Bemisia tabaci
  • Tuta absoluta (uova)

Dosage
