Description

lsonet T is a reservoir pheromone dispenser consisting of two parallel brown-red polymer tubes, one of which is filled with the Tuta absoluta natural pheromone blend [(E,Z,Z)-3,8, 11-tetradecatrien-1-yl acetate and (E,Z,)-3,8-tetradecadien-1-yl acetate] while the other one contains an aluminum wire and enables the positioning of the dispenser in the greenhouse.


How does Isonet T works?


In greenhouses treated with lsonet T, the air is saturated with pheromone. This condition is achieved by applying a defined number of dispensers that continuously release the active ingredient. 


This release is based on physical-chemical principles and is related to the intrinsic dispenser polymer characteristics, the micro-capillary  wali thicknesses, the mean daily temperature and the air movements inside the greenhouse.


The lsonet T dispenser has been especially developed and designed in arder to allow for a long-lasting release of Tuta absoluta pheromone aIso under varying temperature and wind speed conditions.

Application

  • Apply dispensers a few days before tomato transplanting by lightly twisting them around the support wires inside the greenhouse; avoid twisting them too tightly.
  • Evenly distribute the dispensers inside the greenhouse.
  • Apply additional dispensers as reinforcement  along the borders and at the beginning/end of the rows.
  • Check the sanitary conditions of the seedlings coming from the nursery and, if deemed necessary, apply an insecticide spray right after transplanting to reduce pest presence.
  • Pian one or two lsonet T applications depending on the tomato transplanting period (winter or summer) and the length of the crop cycle.
  • Seal the greenhouse  with insect-proof net in order to prevent migration of mated females from the outside inside the greenhouse.
  • Periodically assess the infestation level on leaves and fruits in order to establish whether  an additional insecticide application  is necessary.
  • Destroy erop residues and eliminate wild Solanaceae growing inside and in the immediate surroundings of the greenhouse.
