This product is not on sale

Common entomopathogenic nematode can live on different species of insects.

It is used on fruit trees, lawns, etc.

Controlled adversities:

  • Cydia pomonella
  • Capnodis tenebrionis
  • Larvae of soil and insects harmful leaf miners of the family Noctuidae (noctuids)
  • Pyralidae larvae (Duponchelia fovealis)
  • Tipulidae larvae (tipule)
  • Larvae of the curculionide pine beetle (Hylobius abietis)
  • Coleoptera (beetles)
  • Orthopthera (grillotalpa)
  • Larvae of Capnodis tenebrionis

This nematode looks for parasites present on the trunk or on the leaves. Once found, nematodes penetrate organisms through natural openings or directly through the skin. The nematodes feed on the contents of the prey, secreting specific bacteria from their intestinal tract.

These bacteria transform host tissues into products that can be rapidly used by nematodes. The larva dies within a few days. The bacteria that live in symbiosis with the nematodes are released as soon as the nematodes have penetrated into the larvae.

The best time to apply the nematodes is in dark or at night, with a sufficiently moist soil and a temperature of 14 ° C to 30 ° C. The nematodes should not be applied in full sun; direct exposure to sunlight of the nematode should be avoided, UV rays kill nematodes.

The application of this useful nematode leaves no residue on the crop, can be introduced in combination with other biological or integrated systems is completely safe for users, consumers and the environment.

Steinernema carpocapsae controlla:

  • Cydia pomonella
  • Capnodis tenebronis
