Sirfide predatore di Afidi

This product is not on sale

Dittero belonging to the family of Syrphidae, the adult form feeds on nectar and pollen larvae instead predate many species of aphids in all stages. Their action is carried out on hairless plants, such as the pepper .

Controlled adversities:

  • Aphids

Sirfid larvae 10-20 mm long. transparent and apodious are voracious predators of aphids and perform their action especially at night.

The whitish and elongated eggs are easily found on the lower page of the leaves near the aphidic colonies, then the larvae, in the three stages, will eat aphids to grow.

It has been estimated that a larva of sirfide can feed about 500 aphids throughout the entire life cycle, this in conditions of thermal optimum (20 ° C) lasts more or less 15 days. The first results related to the significant decrease in the number of aphids on the crop can be found starting from a week from the time when the sirfide population was formed.

Episyrphus balteatus controlla:

  • Afidi
