Capex 100

Microbiological insecticide for the control of Capua (Adoxophyes orana) based on GranuloVirus

52.73 €

100 CC

It is a microbiological insecticide based on viruses (AoGV) of Capua granulosis (Adoxophyes orana); every gram of concentrated suspension contains a minimum of 5 x 1013 granules / liter.

CAPEX 100 is produced directly on live larvae of Capua that, in a controlled environment, are infected and subsequently centrifuged for the extraction of the granules. The product is totally organic and does not contain co-formulants or synthetic aggregates.

How Capex 100 works

CAPEX 100 acts only by ingestion against larvae, especially the younger ones. The GranuloVirus is ingested by the larva and reaches the tract of the victim's middle intestine, where the alkaline pH dissolves the protein matrix that protects the viral particle; this has the ability to go beyond the peritrophytic membrane and invade the intestinal epithelium, where the virus actively reproduces in the cell nucleus. The infection spreads rapidly into the victim's body, leading to death, within 3-5 days.

In view of its activity, CAPEX 100 is more effective against the newly hatched larvae, as those in more advanced stages require a higher number of capsids to kill the plant. CAPEX 100 is highly specific and in the field is effective exclusively against Capua. For this reason it is perfectly selective for auxiliaries and pollinating insects (especially important for pre-flowering treatments) and can therefore be included in integrated pest management strategies (thus reducing the risk of developing populations resistant to synthetic insecticides) or in organic farming. (it is not genetically modified organism).

100 grams of product contain:

Le prime applicazioni devono essere indirizzate contro le larve svernanti prima della fioritura; si consiglia di effettuare due trattamenti a distanza di 8-12 giorni uno dall'altro. Un secondo ciclo di interventi può essere indirizzato subito dopo il picco di volo degli adulti della 1ª generazione, mentre un terzo ciclo di interventi può essere effettuato contro le larve che andranno a svernare.
